Bo Sterk:

Sterk has been promoting and teaching beekeeping in the Caribbean for 16 years. He was
named “Volunteer of the Year" by FAVACA in 2007 and "Advanced Beekeeper of the Year" in 2011 by
the UF Honey Bee Research and Extension Lab.
Sterk is a Master Craftsman Beekeeper, Past Board member of FSBA, President of the St. Johns County
Florida Beekeepers Association for 10 years as well Founder of Bees Beyond Borders.
His work with Haitian beekeepers has been published in Bee Culture, Bee Craft, Austalasian, Kelly
Newsletter and Bees for Development magazines.
In 2017 was a presenter on Rural Beekeeping Development at Apimondia, Istanbul, Turkey.
Past lectures include: American Beekeeping Federation, Florida State Beekeepers Annual Banquet and
many of the UF Bee Colleges.
