Title: Data-Driven Best Beekeeping Practices for Backyard Beekeepers
Kelly completed her doctorate studying honey bee health and management practices in the vanEngelsdorp Bee lab at University of Maryland. Her doctoral work focused on identifying beekeeping management practices to improve colony health and survival. Now a postdoctoral researcher at Washington State University, she focuses on commercial beekeeping management practices including indoor storage of colonies, Varroa management, and more. Her talk will share the results of a 3-year field study testing survey-derived best beekeeping management practices for backyard beekeepers.
