101 Hands-On Workshop and Plant Sale
This special event will be hosted by our very own Melissa Moyroud. If you are attending the plant sale only, no registration is required. If you plan to attend the hands-on workshop, please be sure to register in advance.

Melissa will have a wonderful selection of bee-friendly and Florida-friendly plants available, including wildflowers, edibles, powerhouse bee plants, wetland bee plants, hummingbird plants, and a variety of native shrubs and small trees.

AVAILABLE PLANTS
Wildflowers: Dune Sunflower, Beach Verbena, Red Salvia, Goldenrod, Milkweed, Spiderwort, Frog Fruit, and Lyre-Leaf Sage. The last two can be used as mowable ground covers.
Edibles: Everglades Tomatoes, Seminole Pumpkins, African Blue Basil, Rosemary, True Cinnamon, and Strawberry Fruit.
Powerhouse Bee Plant: Gray Leaf (Melochia Tomentosa), reserved only for the Beekeeper’s Workshop and hard to find.
Wetland Bee Plants: Coastal Plain Willow and Swamp Dogwood, great for pond and canal perimeters.
Hummingbird Plants: Coral Bean and Red Firespike.
Florida Native Shrubs and Small Trees: Pigeon Plum, Soapberry, Blackbead, Crabwood, Strongbark, Simpson’s Stopper, Wild Coffee, Horizontal Cocoplum, and White Indigoberry.

SPECIAL PLANT PROMOTION
Wildflowers are normally $5 each, but workshop attendees can purchase five 1-gallon wildflowers for $20.
Every purchase over $25 receives one 3-gallon goldenrod or African blue basil while supplies last.
Every purchase of $50 earns a raffle ticket for a chance to win either a swarm nuc of bees or a brand new in-box bee vac. Raffle will be drawn at the end of the event. Must be present to win.
