Curious about keeping bees? Thinking about starting your first hive? Join PBCBA for a hands-on beginner workshop led by Steve Brown, a dedicated PBCBA member and current Merchandise & Raffle Director. Steve is passionate about helping new beekeepers gain confidence and hands-on experience inside the hive.

What you’ll experience:

Look inside a live hive
Experience the sights, sounds, and sensations of working bees
Learn what to look for during a basic hive inspection
Understand beginner-level colony health and bee behavior
Ask questions in a supportive, beginner-friendly environment

PBCBA Exclusive Plant Access

Melissa McGuaghey-Moyroud of Lorax Designs will provide participants with exclusive access to a curated selection of bee-friendly plants available for purchase. Hummingbird and butterfly plants are also available upon request.

Space may be limited to keep this experience hands-on and beginner-friendly.
